(The Correct Answers)

Question 1

Myth: Clothing with white or bright colors makes pedestrians more visible at night.
Fact: Only reflective materials increase the chance of drivers being able to see you after dark.

---

Question 2

Myth: If a driver can see a pedestrian, they always have time to bring their vehicle to a stop.
Fact: A driver needs time to think/react and a car needs distance for its brakes to bring it to a stop.

---

Question 3

Myth: Even if pedestrians are crossing the street outside of a crosswalk, they have the right-of-way.
Fact: When crossing outside of a marked or unmarked crosswalk, pedestrians do not have the right-of-way and must yield to all vehicles.

---

Question 4

Myth: Pedestrians are required to obey the pedestrian signals at an intersection, not the traffic lights.
Fact: A solid red hand means you cannot cross. Using the crosswalk button gives you more time to cross.
